Sneaker Pimps NYC 2@1@, presented by NBA Jams and Footaction was a perfect opportunity to introduce RA-NYC to a larger market. Sneaker Pimps shows artwork from street artists, has live skating demos and hosts live performances by hip hop/rap acts on a tour across the world. It was a perfect opportunity for RA-NYC to introduce a new RA-NYC team member, Devin Reinhard and a new offer a tee called The Blob for the first time. Devin will be the first RA-NYC sponsored skateboarder. Devin will be producing street skating videos and work on getting the line carried in skate shops. So, watch out for RA-NYC street skating videos in 2011!!!
RA-NYC reached out to musicians/mc's to offer promotional items at the RA-NYC booth for Sneaker Pimps. Rugz D Bewler brought some promo materials from one of his sponsors, Raw, organic rolling papers (brown, white and a couple different sizes, tips, etc) Team Colors bracelets and a couple other items. We also handed out free promo cd's from a band called Imaginary Friends. Much respect to Rugz D Bewler and Imaginary Friends! Make sure to check out their links and support their work. RA-NYC's promotion will always collaborate with other artists, companies or blogs. Boywithstick.com is a blog founded by Ronin and created on the same ideas of collaboration. RA-NYC will continue to promote this way to spread the word and love at the same time.
As you can see, Thee Tom Hardy, The Kid Daytona, Diggy Simmons, Rick Ross and Curren$y all showed NYC their skills on the stage at Sneaker Pimps. Sneaker customizers, clothing lines and RA-NYC all had vendor booths at the event. RA-NYC looks forward to the next Sneaker Pimps show in NYC and the opportunity to work with Rugz and Imaginary Friends in the future!
