Bloomsday by @esbe88

If you've heard the two music projects I've put together, you would know I'm a fan of Esbe's music (BRTH A N8TN and The Red).  Recently he released a project called Bloomsday and it's something you should definitely support.  Bloomsday's sound is smooth, creative and classic.  High quality production gets Esbe thousands of streams on SoundCloud, but he has a perfect balance of familiarity and creativity that makes the music feel right.  The element of surprise comes from his ability to make it all feel new and comfortable.   I spent a few days wondering London, recording my experiences and I had Bloomsday on repeat.  Naturally, the video project will feature his music, but it's what Esbe's style of music inspires me to do.  Check out the project by clicking the album artwork above, download at BandCamp and enjoy!

Porcelain by @triceracorn

Porcelain, Triceracorn  2013

I've been consistently listening to Triceracorn since I first came across their first self titled album.  Their single from BRTH A N8TN opened my eyes even more to the potential of this insanely talented duo from Seattle.  Porcelain, is darker than their previous album, but the quality of music is consistent through the music and lyrical content.  They present plenty of ideas, so don't expect to get the creatively watered down music that's so readily available in the blogs and tv/radio.  If you support independent artists, check them out and support!

The Kids is the final track of BRTH A N8TN and was created by the Chicago native, Neak (prod. by Slot-A).  I made my way to Neak's music via JohnNY U. and I've been paying attention ever since.  Paura/Amore, Neak's upcoming album will be available sometime in 2013, but for the mean time, make sure to keep an eye on Neak for a single or a new video.  The Kids official music video just released yesterday, which shows/proves why the track was the perfect epic ending to THE compilation of summer 2013.   BRTH A N8TN

papertiger1_electro #BRTHAN8TN TRACK NO. 14 @PAPERTIGERDTR

Track No. 14 comes from the Minneapolis native, Paper Tiger who now lives in Brooklyn.  He's one component of Doom Tree, a Midwest hip hop collective that also includes Dessa, Mike Mictlan, POS, Lazerbeak and Cecil Otter.  I first heard of him a few years ago on Okayplayer and I've kept an eye out for him since.  He also is the featured producer on F. Stokes' recently released album called, Fearless Beauty.  F. Stokes is an upcoming emcee who I recently photographed performing at an industry event in NYC.  Anyway, for music fans that appreciate high quality production, make sure to support Paper Tiger's music, especially his latest project call Summer.  As a matter of fact, he's DJ'ing an art show/party tonight with Eric Inkala, an artist/painter originally from Minneapolis, now living in Brooklyn!  Bushwick to be exact......
