Painting on paper offers me the opportunity to accumulate various media over time. Similar to other surfaces, painting on paper celebrates when colors bleed, but it’s still possible to draw with precision. I’m in the process of scaling up to larger paintings on paper and I want to explore how acrylic paint interacts with charcoal, pastel, markers, and watercolor. The material I paint on, always assumes a defining role in the overall composition and expression and paper is a practice I am building.
