Everyone knows the summer anthems, but every now and then, amazing albums drop in the winter and they're perfect for those cold, gray moods (for all not living in Southern California). Ironman is one of those albums and it built off the summer the summer solo success by another of WuTang's clan member and Ghostface's tag team partner Raekwon when he dropped Only Built For Cuban Links the year before.

Ironman is a hip hop classic with its dark synthesizers and dark storytelling of the organized crime/drug world, which was common for Raekwon and Ghostface in the 90's. It's best if you get the whole album and listen to it from beginning to end. Ironman was a strong product of the CD age (90's) and listening to cd's was an experience like reading a comic book. You would get a broad understanding of an artists' range of talent because they wouldn't be dumbed-down to a single track. We all know how much people love to read, so if the analogy to books doesn't hook you; maybe the fact that Blaxpoitation samples was a tool the RZA used to add to Ghostface's vivid stories does the trick. They're used throughout the album along with audio samples from The Usual Suspects among other movies. Check it out!
